His Adventure

I love adventures and surprises because you never know what is going to happen next. Do you ever feel like you want to get away from the normalcy of everyday life and take an adventure? Well, a few weeks back I was praying with a friend and she used an interesting phrase in talking with the LORD. She thanked the LORD for letting us be a part of HIS ADVENTURE. I thought that was a wonderful, empowering and exciting way to phrase our walk with the LORD!

The LORD tells us in His Word that He will lead us step by step (Proverbs 3:6, Psalm 119:105). He also tells us that He is both the Author and the Perfector of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). So why is it that I have such a hard time trusting in the LORD day to day? Why do I worry? - I guess because I am human, but actually because I am trying to have my own adventure instead of living in God's adventure. You see God's plans are so much better than mine - His adventure has a better storyline than mine. His adventure has better characters than mine. His adventure has a better setting than mine. His adventure even has better hair, make-up, and clothing than mine. His adventure is so grand, why do I think my adventure is even worth comparing?
